BIO

Sam Roffey is a First Assistant Director (1st AD) specialising in the production of scripted and non-scripted television, television commercials, feature films, short films, music promos, live sessions, and fashion shoots. Sam has been working in the TV and Film industry for twelve years and has worked as a 1st AD since 2017.

Sam's television credits include Series Two of Channel Four Comedy Drama 'Hullraisers', Season Nine of the BBC's BAFTA-winning series 'Horrible Histories' and Series One of CBBC's 'Horrible Science'. Sam's commercial credits include GAP's global campaign 'Linen Moves' with the Grammy Award ® Winning Artist 'Tyla'.

A compassionate AD, whose respect for filmmaking has led him to collaborate with award-winning talent including Academy Award ® and BAFTA ® winning filmmakers, Ross White & Tom Berkeley. A detailed and dependable scheduler, as well as a trusted collaborator in the pre-production and production process, Sam's determination to ensure a secure and reassured working environment is paramount to his 'Slow is smooth and smooth is fast' style of running a professional film set.
